Put your questions to a publisher...

Want to know what really goes on inside a publishers offices behind closed doors....

Do you have a question you’ve always wanted to ask an editor but never had the chance? Or something you’d like to know from the people that make the decisions about what gets published and what doesn’t...

Then send me the questions YOU want answers to. Because for a future video blog I’m going behind the scenes... this time at the offices of my publishers Little, Brown. I’ll hopefully be showing you a behind the scenes glimpse of what goes on at a publishers office and I’ll be putting your questions to my editor, Caroline Hogg. So if you’ve got a question that’s burning a hole in your heart or your pocket about publishing then let me know.
Either Tweet me @alimcnamara, drop me a message on my Facebook page Ali McNamara or leave your question below.

Deadline for questions 26th July 2010.

Thanks for doing this!
I'm not sure what you have already been asked but I'd like answers to the basics:

'I've writtten the book, now what do I do to get publishers attention?'

Hi Ali,

I have a few questions...

What are editors of Romantic Comedy looking for above all else?

Can they foresee any trends in the genre?

What is the process of deciding whether a book will be published or not? How many people have to say yes before an acceptance?

Cheeyahs (looking forward to the next video diary!)

Brilliant thanks for those Rickie & Kirsty. I'll do my best to get answers for you when I put your questions to my editor next week.
